IGNITE’s “Yoga Oasis” is our latest renovation.

Walking into this space students immediately feel the love and passion that was put into it’s creation.

The private entrance gives students a peaceful environment to practice physical, mental, and emotional focus.

Yoga mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, and eye pillows are available to all students to assist in their practice.

 Why no yoga style labels??  We believe that labels encourage unhealthy attachment, and sometimes hold people back from exploring their full potential.  Each class at IGNITE is open to all levels, and tailored to each student’s needs and abilities.  Yoga mats, props, and wall space are available to each practitioner, encouraging each student to listen to their bodies, and practice mindfully, in a safe and supportive environment.  Pranayama, or the control of breath, is what leads the practitioner into each posture (asana).  Postures are held for varying amounts of time in each class.  Sun salutations are traditionally practiced with breath connection to each movement (vinyasa), while some standing, seated, and supine postures will be held for quite a few breaths.  Beginning, intermediate, and advanced variations of poses will be offered throughout the entire class, including inversions and arm balances.  IGNITE does not practice scripted classes of 26 poses (Bikram), but you most likely will see postures that are similar, and some the same.  Each class at IGNITE is different, providing a well rounded practice to each student.  IGNITE instructors make both verbal and hands on adjustments, to help individualize the practice, and help keep the student safe suggesting proper form.  If you do not want to be safely adjusted, please let the instructor know at the beginning of class.  Yoga is a mind, body, and spirit experience.  Many come to the mat for different reasons, and together journey into yoga.  You will leave with a renewed sense of life energy and a deep sense of peace.  Whatever your reason for seeking yoga, we hope to bring love and light into your life.

YOGA CLASS ETIQUETTE:

Please arrive on time and stay for the entire class. Most classes allow students to enter the room 15 minutes prior to the start of class.
Roll out your yoga mat quietly (avoid snapping it down).
Please honor the energy in the room before and after each class, by moving slow, speaking softly, and giving personal space.
Borrowed mats should be wiped down after use and returned to storage
Please keep conversations to a minimum inside the yoga room, prior to the start of class.
You must sign in prior to each class.
Welcome new students by giving them instruction for setting up, and making space for them in the back of the class, where they can follow more advanced practitioners.
Remember “saucha” (the first of the niyamas), meaning cleanliness, not only within the body, but within ones environments and relationships.
IGNITE is a cell phone free space. 

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOGA:

  • be well hydrated
  • arrive on an empty stomach (last meal 3 to 4 hours prior)
  • if new, bring signed registration form 

WHAT TO WEAR:

Yoga: form fitting clothing that you can move in – i.e.: sports bra, workout top, tank top, exercise pants, exercise shorts, barefoot.
